2. Seven Mile Beach:
This famous beach stretches for 5.5 miles along the western coast of Grand Cayman. It's known for its clear waters, white sand, and variety of watersports and beachfront resorts.
3. No Direct Taxes:
Grand Cayman is known for its tax-friendly environment. It has no direct taxes such as income tax, capital gains tax, or property tax, making it attractive for international businesses and wealthy individuals.
4. Hell:
There is a small area in Grand Cayman called "Hell," which features unique limestone formations that resemble jagged black peaks. Visitors can send postcards postmarked from Hell as a quirky souvenir.
5. George Town:
The capital of the Cayman Islands, George Town, is located on Grand Cayman. It's a hub for cruise ships, shopping, and dining, with colorful traditional Caribbean architecture and a bustling waterfront.
If you're on island during a day trip, Stingray City and Seven Miles Beach are not to be missed. Stingray City is not a city, but a shallow patch of water in the Caribbean sea close to the coast where the stingrays have been completely domesticated and love to be hugged.
Seven Miles beach is actually not seven miles long but longer. This stretch of beach is very family-friendly shallow, ideal for snorkeling and swimming or simply strolling on the beach. You'll also find enough restaurants and watersports rentals on Seven Miles beach.
If you're planning to stay for longer than a day and wish to be away from the noise yet still be on Seven Miles beach have a look at The Grandview Condos.
Enjoy your stay!
